The Problem

The shoulder is the most flexible joint in the whole body, which can make it vulnerable to all sorts of injuries. This can happen suddenly like in a sprain from playing racket sports or slowly from poor posture when sat in front of the computer or repetitive movement when doing house work.

In Impingement Syndrome, one or more of the rotator cuff muscles of the shoulder is strained and restricts the range of motion as well as causing pain.

Frozen Shoulder occurs in three phases. The first phase is a really painful shoulder that builds for a few months. The second phase is when the pain eases off but then becomes progressively stiff. The third phase is when it is meant to "thaw out". Some people regain their range of motion and some don't. The whole process can last from a few months up to three years, and we still don't know the cause. What we do know is that the capsule within the joint becomes inflamed and thickened, which triggers it all off.

The Solution

The good news is that we do know that chiropractic care can help. By ensuring that the muscles and joints across the shoulder, neck and back are balanced, conditions like Frozen Shoulder and Impingement Syndrome become a lot easier to manage and are quicker to resolve with less complications. So book in for a consultation so we can get you back to getting the most out of life.
